About the Event
This free, one-day event, introduces you to everything you ever wanted to know about “day one” on a film set. Tse'Nato' and Group Effort are bringing together working film industry instructors for a series of workshops covering what to expect across multiple departments, giving you the kind of insight that usually only comes from being in the room. The day closes with screenings of New Mexico-made short films and a panel discussion with the filmmakers behind them. Only 25 seats are available. Save your seat today!

Meet the Instructors
Natalie Benally
A co-founder of Tse'Nato' and a filmmaker, writer, actor, and community advocate from Churchrock, Natalie brings both sides of the camera to this program. Her screen credits include a lead role in FOX/Sony's Accused and a recurring role across all seasons of AMC's Dark Winds.
Razelle Benally
A graduate from IAIA and NYU, Razelle is a writer, director, and producer spanning streaming, television, and cinema with credits such as I Am Thy Weapon, AMC’s Dark Winds, Showtime’s Murder in Bighorn. The latter of which earned her a nomination for the 2023 Humanitas Awards.
Morningstar Angeline
Gallup-raised actor and filmmaker with credits spanning HBO's Westworld, Amazon's Outer Range, and the Peacock series IT: Welcome to Derry, Morningstar is also a 2021 ImagineNative Directors Lab Fellow whose short film Seeds screened at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian.
Tyrell Etsitty
A professional cinematographer whose credits include The Bad Samaritan and The Rise of the Tower House, Tyrell also wrote and directed Broken Path, his auteur debut developed through a selective NYU program, establishing him as both a working industry camera professional and an emerging voice behind the lens.
Makaio Frazier
A writer and director from Northern New Mexico, Makaio climbed from PA to production crew on some of the largest productions in the state. His credits include Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Netflix's American Primeval. His own film The Way We Carry Water is now on tour after debuting at Santa Fe International Film Festival.
